About Gary Griffieth, MD
Gary Griffieth, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician at Cornerstone Pediatrics, PLLC, in Clarksville, Tennessee. Dr. Griffieth earned his Bachelor of Arts in psychology at Stanford University in 1972, and his Doctor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine in 1977. After completing his pediatric residency at the Albert Einstein-Bronx Municipal Hospital in New York, Dr. Griffieth moved to San Francisco’s East Bay area in California. While there, he worked for the United States Public Health Service in the inner city of West Berkeley and East Oakland. He eventually entered private practice pediatrics in 1983 until his return to the East Coast in 1984 to join Dr. Constance Glasgow in upstate New York.
Dr. Griffieth maintains hospital privileges at the Ellis-Bellevue Hospital in Schenectady, New York. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York. Dr. Griffieth has been an integral member of several church-sponsored missionary teams providing medical care to rural areas of Mexico and, most recently, to the slum areas of Nairobi, Kenya, in 2011 and 2012.
When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Griffieth enjoys spending time with his two adult sons, being outdoors, gardening, reading, and playing the piano and conga drums.
